Emma: The first time I played this beautiful creation that mankind is so unworthy of was with my bff.
Maddie: True. Mankind is very unworthy of this God given beauty.
Emma: We're talking about HALO. Have you ever played it? If not, save your pennies for an Xbox and join us in this insanity.
Maddie: HALO 4. Get it. Buy it. Because why not?
Free time. We all have it. Haha. Just kidding.
Do you ever lie in bed and stare at the ceiling, thinking of the endless possibilities? The never ending opportunities that await us?
And then you get out of bed, stumble to the kitchen, and choke on a glass of water. Next, you shuffle around, getting ready for the day, and then out you go. Whether it be school, work, or simply life that awaits you, it sometimes feels like just another day.
It usually feels like just another day.
Scribble down notes, listen to the lecture, hurry hurry hurry.
And then go home. Check on the kids, human or canine or something else altogether. Eat. And go to sleep.
Repeat.
Most of the time I just want to fall on the floor. Well, i want to draw, or dance, or sing, or unlock my magical flight ability. Instead, I fall on the floor, staring at the flat ceiling.
And I say "I'll do it tomorrow."
Carpe Diem.
A poet wrote that. While he was writing poems. Seizing the day one word at a time.
I guess that's what we're doing. Or trying to do.
Instead of falling on the floor, i fell into a chair, and started tapping away.
Let's go into 2018 together, seizing the year one month at a time. The month one day at a time. And the day one word at a time.
