Eight Songs to Listen to Right Now

Grab a cup of tea and turn up your volume.

Madem brings you our very first song list. Whether its hip-hop, opera, rap, or something else entirely, we like a little bit of everything.

Here’s eight songs to listen to right now.

Blue by Troye Sivan

Troye Sivan made it onto the radio with his single My My My, but I personally love Blue. If you want some dream pop with a little electronic vibe, that makes you feel like staring speculatively out the car window, check it out. I’m listening to it right now. I can’t get enough.

Toes by Glass Animals

Good beat and completely confusing lyrics. Totally chill. Tap your foot and sway your hips. We have no idea what he’s saying, but that doesn’t take away from the song. It’s got a unique, chill sound. A little indie, psychedelic pop, and toes.

Happy Hour by Weezer

Makes me want to go to drive around with my windows down. You know, just so everyone can see how amazing my music taste is. Really though, this good stuff. This is a bit of indie too, but a completely different sound from Toes.

Gymnopedie #1

I like to lie on my back and think deep thoughts about life while I listen to this beautiful piano piece. Haunting and super gorgeous. Now I want to tickle some ivories.

War by Chikk

Ummmmm, drumroll please. Battle cry and music to my ears. Also, I dare you to listen to this song and not dance. Bet you can’t.

Underwater by HANA

Somewhere in between a lullaby and indie and celtic. The vocals thread seamlessly through the instrumental. This song is a treat, and I’m excited to see what HANA does in the future.

Air and Light and Time and Space by Francis Dale

Can we get this boy on the radio? Let the beat of this song take you places. Voice like honey and edgy coffee shop vibes? I’m honestly not sure but this song makes me happy.

Jealou$y by The Neighborhood

Another Alternative Indie. (Moral of this blog, I'm predictable.) Rap feelings with Jazzy undertones, plus a some tribal drums.

"RIP peace of mind."

This song is quotable.

Alright that’s it for now. I’m beginning to think this should have been an indie list. Who doesn't like Indie?

Thanks for reading! Share the songs you love in the comments.
